Lagoon Watersports operates by offering tuition to the public, groups and hire (membership) in multiple activities. Not one activity or element is big enough to sustain the centre on its own. The success of the centre is based on multiple activities balancing the three elements of tuition, groups and hire.

Our success is based on introducing new people to watersports and providing a route for them to practice and progress.

In practice this means members do not have sole use of the equipment or cables. There are times that you may not be able to gain access to the equipment or cable time you want as it is being used for another part of the operation. We know you want to get out on the water as much as possible and we provide as much availability of equipment, staff and wakeboarding time as possible. Please understand the facilities are for the use of a wide range of customers and not just Club Members. Sometimes it may not be possible for you to get your preferred session times.

We can set up your account so you can make bookings for your family members and friends. Just ask us.

The best way to meet new friends is come to our instructor lead clinics. Run by friendly instructors and attended by like minded people.

During the season we send out a news letter about once a fortnight.

The best way to stay up to date is to follow us on Instagram @lagoonwatersports or Facebook

Wakeboard FAQ's

Members can wakeboard loads for no extra fees on our two 2025 System 2.0 cables.

To enable all members to share the available wakeboarding time we have booking and cancellation rules.

We have the following rules to enable everyone to share the cable availability. If  you cannot find a wakeboard session to book please contact us and we will help you find a space.

  1. Your membership entitles you to book up to 2 free wakeboard ride sessions per day except Sundays which is 1 session. (We reserve the right to change this at any time to adjust to demand)
  2. You may only book up to 4 wakeboard ride sessions in advance.
  3. Additional slots can be booked at a cost of £10 per session online with the discount code “RIDE”
  4. You must book your ride sessions online.
  5. There is no wakeboarding until 2pm on Sundays as the model boat club have the use of that part of the lagoon.
  6. Wakeboard cable systems can and do go wrong and break. In the event of a technical failure we will prioritise rebooking your sessions but there will be no refunds.

If you cannot attend your session it is essential you cancel it so other members can wakeboard.

Demand frequently exceeds availability.

Cancellations must be done online. There will be no charge.

Any cancellations made with 3 or fewer hours notice, or any noshows for sessions, will be recorded.

If a member has 3 noshows within a 30-day period, the account will be unable to book free sessions for 7 days.

We reserve the right to adjust these rules.

If you cannot find ride sessions to book please contact us and we can try and add additional sessions for you.

We consider any member taking more than 40 ride sessions per season to be getting a great deal and will give priority to members riding less and are having difficulty in finding sessions.

Sea FAQ's

Boating is an expensive activity, just some of the long list of things you do not have to worry about with membership include purchasing the craft, all the surveys and millions of things that go wrong! storage, insurance, the list goes on and on. No maintenance or constant upkeep, our team runs regular maintenance checks and ongoing repairs to keep you on the water.

These are scheduled sailing with an instructor to practice and enjoy your sailing from Brighton Marina. This is the easiest way in our busy lives to get out on the water without the need to find crew and right conditions. The sails are 75 minutes, the boats are mainly rigged ready to go. This is the least hassle free sailing you will get anywhere!

Check out the opening hours, the sails will be daily and as bookings increase more added, the main boats for these will be the RS Venture which sails with 2 to 4 people extremely well, the electric outboards make for a quiet and smooth exit and entry into the marina.

You must book in advance, no bookings more then 1 week in advance.

The Delphias are better with 3 to 5 persons depending on the strength of wind, the decision on which boat will depend on the numbers, winds and boat availability on the day.

The yachts will have a weekly schedule, normally up to 6 persons unless it is a trip or racing where 8 is better. We have Elixir which is an Elan 380, extremely nice sailing boat that has competed the Round UK and Fastnet races many times, plus No Excuses a Beneteau 36.7which is the perfect sail training boat

You have 2 club sails available a week, these can be joined together. One yacht club sail counts as 2 sessions.

Save time and hassle with minimum set bup time.

Most of the equipment is set up for you. For windsurfing all you need to do is add the boom. For sailing the boats at the marina are in the water , usually ready for you to go out.

Parental consent is required for all under 18’s to go on the sea.

Under 16’s
: Sorry no hire on the sea. Except accompanied on the water by a parent that has suitable skills in that activity.

Under 16’s may attend sea clinics and go on the sea under the supervision of an instructor. Please ask the office or a Duty manager to see if your child is ready for this.

Windsurfers and paddleboarders that are signed off for sea hire may hire equipment out of hours. You may even take equipment to other venues.

Please see our sea hire page.
